This Is Where We Belong To

This is a cult film. And this is how director Jenny described her intention: "I want to show the process of assimilation: how a human being assimilated by an evil organization." Visually, we decided to use color RED as one of the symbol of evil organization, starting with their custom and then the lighting. Lighting wise, there are mainly three different lighting in this film: tungsten light before the movie starts, projector light of the movie theater and the nightmare red light, indicating different stage of character's mental status. Additionally, the projector and the silver screen became very important light sources. The visually references of this film are <Hereditary> in 2019 and <Midsommar> in 2019.
