水煮白菜 (The Forgotten Love)

This is a film about complicated, unspeakable relationship among four people: a young husband, a young wife, the secertary of the young husband and a classmate of the young wife. The primary goal of the cinematographer is to precisely capture the relationship of each two characters when they meet each other. For example, husband will be on the left side and off-axis to the camera when he meets both his wife and the secretary because he is a quiet and introverted character. However, when the husband meets the classmate of his wife, he is on the right side of the frame to show his jealous and anger and how urgent he wants to find out if his wife is dating this man. This film won best student short in 2021 Sacramento World Film Fest and best short in 2021 California Indie Film Fest.
