果然 (Apple)

The film is based on a true story. A hidden sexual crime being uncovered to a teenage girl nicknamed "Apple" who realizes her grandfather raped her best friend when she took her to his house. Visually, we go with a Naturalistic look. "Apple with blood" becomes a symbol of unspoken truth, the sexual crime and the tainted soul. We were inspired by the film <少年的你>（Better Days）in 2019 when we shot the school bully scene, using longer lens therefore shallow Dof as well as hand-held camera. Composition wise, we used door frames and other foreground objects to give audience a sense of suspension.
